Permaculture is anarchic by nature
The movement is driven forward by individuals and collectives all busy doing and we do not often pause to reflect on our collective impact as a movement.
We may be repeatedly solving the same issues and challenges because we lack visibility over what is happening within the movement at a larger scale or elsewhere.
Together we can make the movement visible to itself, in order to achieve greater results by working together, using our resources more effectively and amplify each others voices.
The International Permaculture Convergence IPC16 will be making visible the growing permaculture movement and include talks about how permaculture is relevant to meet the current and difficult challenges of the world.
We will be bringing together speakers from different key domains to share knowledge and best practices with the international Permaculture space and our allied networks.
The focus of this series of events sits in sustaining and creating movement coherence and cohesion: we are all on the same team!
Who is the Conference for?
We are inviting and engaging with an audience passionate about the Permaculture as a movement and active at one or more levels from Local to Global, from in-place to online.
You are the strategic movement actors that are shaping the movement including both established, up and coming:
- professionals
- activists
- organisations
- academies
- associations
- networks
Programme for the Online Conference
This is a clear and enthusiastic invitation for strategic partners to join the online conference & convergence and take the opportunity to share knowledge and best practices with the global movement as well as becoming inspired for the possibilities of collaboration and collective growth.
We have co-created a thoughtful programme to inspire permaculture practitioners, communities and organisations to see themselves as an integral part of the growing and cohesive movement that is centred around collaboration, knowledge sharing and mutual support.

During the 9th & 10 November we are inviting Permaculture teachers to share their knowledge and expertise in the form of workshops and educational events.

IPC 16 Convergence – Strategic Conversations for the Permaculture Movement
11 – 15th November
During the IPC16 online convergence the focus will be on holding strategic conversations with and for the Permaculture movement, to weave stronger relationships.
Over the course of 5 days the International Permaculture CoLab will facilitate 10 sessions, with a multitude of topics.
The purpose of the strategic conversations is to show a way that we can move forwards in collaboration, meeting challenges together, and sharing useful resources.

What’s included in your ticket
Your ticket also gives you access to all live sessions and recordings as well as access to the IPC16 Online Hangout Room during the conference and/or the IPC16 Lounge Room during the convergence.
What’s not included in your ticket
Tickets to individual workshops, you can book the workshops you like at the price set by the permaculture teacher hosting the session.
What do we do with the ticket money
The ticket money goes directly towards financing the event.
If you can pay a higher price for your ticket please do so, so that we can compensate the speakers & organisation team for their efforts.

Ways to support this event
Participate as a Speaker & Facilitator
We are looking for Speakers for the IPC 16 Online Conference. If you have a project that you would like to share as an example of replicable and scaleable applied permaculture in the world we would like to know about it.
We are also looking for Strategic Conversations Facilitators for the IPC 16 Online Convergence, if you have a topic in mind that would help the permaculture movement coherence and collaboration and are willing to host a conversation about it we are excited to hear from you.
Please note that we are a small team, please give us at least 2 weeks to process your submission.
Offer a Permaculture Workshop or Educational Event
We are looking for Permaculture teachers and facilitators to offer workings and/or Educational Events for the IPC 16 Online event. If you have session or course you would like to offer please tell us.
Participate as an Attendee
If you are based in Thailand or will be visiting Thailand during the event we hope that you will attend the IPC 16 Thai event in-person.
If you are not able to travel to Thailand we hope that you will join us for the IPC 16 Online events.

Donation for someone who cannot afford a ticket
For each 5€ donated we will make available 1 free ticket for either the conference or the convergence and for each 10€ donated we will make available 1 free ticket that includes both conference and convergence.
If you want to donate for a particular individual you can let us know when you make your donation the name and surname of the person you wish to sponsor.
Donation to support a speaker
Speakers will only be paid if we have enough ticket money collected. Please help us raise enough money so that we can do this. Depending on the topic each speaker’s effort to prepare for and attend the event is around 3 – 4 hours using the Equitable Wage Guide this would be an average of c. 100€. We will have at least 7 speakers for the convergence. Make a donation that feels generous to you. Invest in what you want to see more of in the world.
