Fundraising in Partnership aims to build the Permaculture movement’s funding capacity and readiness through collaboration. During this presentation we will go into the process of how an organisation can determine whether they are ready to participate in a joint project and what they can do to increase their readiness.
This presentation is designed specifically for Networks, Organizations, Associations and community groups who are funding ready and are looking to set up joint projects, and apply for funding together to fund those projects. The Funding Circle is a circle within the International Permaculture CoLab which provides expert fundraising services to the Permaculture movement.
Paul Philipps – Paul is a fundraiser, educator and systems thinker with a focus on international development. He has a masters In Education and Development and did his PDC in Colombia. He now lives in Nairobi and helps organisations with fundraising and strategy.
TaTa is a simple yet profound gifting process, evolved from Re-evaluation Counseling. The gift is attention and the permission to explore and develop our thinking by speaking it out. Using an agreed amount of time one person gets to think aloud while another gives them their full, freely given attention, without interrupting, agreeing, disagreeing or directing their thinking. This gives the thinker permission to listen to themselves and discover what they actually think. Then the roles are reversed, creating an equal exchange of attention. Yes, a real thinking democracy!
TaTa takes the powerful listening principles of Re-evaluation Counseling and makes them simpler and more accessible, with a particular focus on providing people in remote and/or otherwise marginalized communities with practical tools they can use to support each other to clarify our thinking.
After this session you will know how to lift up another person’s thinking, by giving them good attention. By this means we can lift up anyone’s thinking, anytime. Better thinking leads to better actions.
Andrew Langford MSc, DMS, Dip Perm Des. – Andrew (Andy) Langford entered the world of permaculture in 1986, became the first British permaculture teacher and co-organizer of the Permaculture Association of Britain. Later with Liora Adler, Andrew formed Gaia U International. He is now roaming the West Coast of the USA and Mexico seeking to weave webs of actionists working to rehydrate these fire and flood-prone dryland zones.

AI tools available on the market are now abound and we are seeing a lot of AI generated content being created, shared and reshared by Permaculture Associations, Organisations and Networks – but are these tools in alignment with the Permaculture Ethics and principles we strive to live up to?
This presentation shares the findings of the first stage of research into Ethical AI and endeavours to answer whether these could be ethical and what would it be like if they were.
We present our research into ethical AI, a measurement heuristic we have developed for grading AI systems, and show how it behaves when applied to several existing AI systems.
Anton Oussik – Anton is a senior technologist with a passion for open source and ethical technology.
Join us for a Celebration session and build-up for all next events, how to access all the recorded materials and when it will be released publicly & how to continue or start conversations for the topics presented.
