Ikielo is a new vibrant and rooted summer gathering that invites you to explore what a more local, more communal and nature-based life can look like.
At the heart of the festival is a good and fair life for both people and the planet. The program opens doors to practical solutions that support wellbeing and vitality within planetary boundaries.
The festival brings together diverse actors from the field of sustainability and regenerative cultures from around Finland. It also searches for new synergies and collaboration between local associations and companies in Karjalohja. The festival showcases Karjalohja area as a rural hub of permaculture expertise, organic farming, alternative education, nature-based entrepreneurship and active community engagement.
Organizer
Founded in 2016, the Finnish Permaculture Association promotes a sustainable lifestyle and society based on the permaculture philosophy. Our aim is to apply and develop permaculture specifically for the Finnish context, to provide support and contacts for permaculture projects in cities and rural areas, and to act as an official body for international cooperation in permaculture. The association organises events related to permaculture, provides information and publications and creates links between other like-minded organisations and all people interested in permaculture.
